Information Sharing Guidelines

Dani Himmelman

The presentation will be webcast live and recorded for later viewing

To view the webcast 7:00pm-8:00pm, please visit:,input your name and enter as a Guest.

Dani is a family member that has been involved for many years with promoting the importance of the family voice in mental health care. Dani was a family representative when the Information Sharing Guideline were developed in 2011. At that time our understanding of confidentiality was seen as a barrier to collaboration so vital to improving recovery outcomes.

Dani will review the guidelines, discussing what and when information can be shared with families, while respecting the rights of the individual.

Meetings are held the second Monday of each month (except on statutory holidays when meetings are held on the third Monday of the month, and during July and August, when meetings are not held).

Family members & friends who have a loved one experiencing mental health difficulties, including, but not limited to, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and depression are all welcome to attend and participate.
